EdgeTX Elevons tutorial

This is relevant if:

Connect the two elevon servos to channel 1 and channel 2 on the receiver. This is a common setup where channel 3 is used for the throttle.

On the mixes screen, long-press [Enter] and select Insert after on both channels to add a mix line for each:

Edit the mixes so that each channel mixes the Elevator and Aileron inputs with a weight of 50 on each as shown below:

After creating these initial mixes, some of the weights will need to be inverted.

Check the movements of the elevons as shown below:

Input Control Surface
Pitch up Both elevons go up
Pitch down Both elevons go down
Roll right Left elevon up, right elevon down
Roll left Left elevon down, right elevon up

Commonly, a pitch up movement is input by pulling the joystick downwards, akin to an aircraft yoke.

In case the elevons are not moving in the correct directions, see the following examples:

If when pitching up the channel 1 elevon moves down instead of up, invert this in the mix by changing the weight to -50 for the elevator, as shown below:

Similarly, if when pushing right on the stick, the channel 1 elevon moves in the wrong direction, it can be inverted by changing the Aileron weight to -50 on channel 1, as shown below:

Repeat this inversion process until the control surfaces move in the correct directions shown in the above table.
